According to a Greek mythology, Midas was a king who lived in Phrygia in the eighth century B.C. He was very wealthy and had more gold than anyone in the world. He store then in huge vault beneath his palace and spent many hours each day counting his treasure.
But no matter how much gold Midas collected, it was not enough. He always wanted more, dreams about getting more gold. So one day a man dressed in white appeared to him and granted him a wish of a golden touch, so whatever he touches turn to golden.
The next morning, he found his bedsheet has turned to gold, his bed also, so he cried out with excitement 'I have a golden touch!' everything he touches turns to gold, the walls, his breakfast bread, his spoon, the roses in his garden, the water he wanted to drink and so on.
So he was alarmed ' if my food turn to gold, how will I ever eat again?' so he became worried, immediately his lovely daughter ran to greet him and at his touch, she also turned to a gold statute. So he was so worried, then at night when the man dressed in white came in his dream, he request that the golden touch be taken away because they are things that worth more than gold; bread, water, and his daughter.
Lesson: There are things, more important than money or material treasures, learn to get rich fulfilling your purpose and be content. 1Timothy 6:6 A godly life brings huge profits to people who are content with what they have.(GWT). Money is not the only guarantee of wealth or success, fulfilling purpose is also an evidence.
