Too comfy?

Stepping out of a familiar terrain or a comfort zone is an action that is based on faith and courage.  Even if your faith is a small as a mustard seed, even that is enough. It is like stepping out of the comfort of our home to take a walk at 1am in the middle of the night or should I say in the morning. It is not only dangerous but the trauma of the expectation of danger can paralyse a person with fear.

Peter and the other disciples were on a comfortable, safe boat cruise taking a ride to the other side. Suddenly, they saw what looked like a ghost walking on water towards them. Upon their discovery that it was Jesus, the seemingly overzealous Peter said 'Lord, if it is you bid me come.' Wow! It is actually coming out of the safe boat to walk upon a stormy sea but he did walk, the only time he sank was when he started looking at the obstacles and not Jesus, he cried out for help and Jesus Christ held him up.

Our comfort zone is our limitation from a glorious, eventful life in the extras ordinary. As scary as it looks, stepping out of our comfort zone is the best experience that can ever happen to us in life, we will be opportuned to experience the unusual and uncommon, making us pacesetters.

Peter was the first man apart from Jesus who walked on water, this should be in the Guinness Book of Records or any other book of recognition.

As Christians, our comfort zone isn't where God want us to be, he wants us to move out and do exploits and much greater things than we are doing now.
I urge us to get up and step out of our comfort zone to the realm of the extraordinary.
