God bless Nigeria

Our nation Nigeria has come such a long way and here we are now, at 54years of independence, with all the challenges that we are facing, some people have resolve to hopelessness, while some are hopeful and of course some are indifferent, but as children of God, there is hope, hope for restoration, peace, good health, development, growth and good governance.

God is saying this to us "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 1 chron 7:14. Firstly, we have to be his people, called by his name. Secondly, we need to humble ourselves before him and thirdly, seek his face and repent from our evil ways; after then he will hear us and heal us.

We are encouraged to pray for the peace of our nation and the bible assures us that we will prosper in it, that's if we pray (Psalm 122:6). The Second stanza of the National Anthem outlines our Nation's cry to God for help, guidance, direction, and peace. We have come to realise it is only God that can help us to build a great nation and reach lofty heights.

Let us not fail to pray with faith and hope that the great change and transformation shall begin with us and spread to everyone.

Arise, O Compatriots" (1978–present)
O God of creation
Direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace
And justice shall reign.(AMEN)
