WOULD HE BE GLORIFIED?

I was reminded of a day in Junior Class, by a Classmate of mine recently, when Tinu, also my classmate, slapped me and I didn't respond, not even a word.

Actually, after the slap hit my face, so many thoughts ran through my mind, should I slap her back? Should I leave her? What will people think of me if I don't slap her back? If we end up fighting what will I gain?
So I decided not to retaliate, I went back to my seat though people were saying things but I just sat there.

Now 10 years later, a guy from my class who witnessed the scene, reminded me of the incident; which i have forgotten. He told me that since that day he respected me.

The lesson here is that everything we do and say, is being witnessed by a great cloud of witnesses, that will either encourage others and teach them more about christ or make them disregard christ in us.

Matthew 5:16 " let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven.

The first thing to think about before any action is taking should be 'would God be glorified?'. If not, drop it and go have your seat.
