There are some people in our lives that are just so difficulty to love because they always behave badly to every expression of our love for them.
I heard this story of a christain wife and her husband who isnt a christain, beats her and also a drunkard. One day, she came back from church late and he locked her outside in the cold; she slept outside till morning and in the morning when he opened the door , she greeted him and asked him what he would eat. The man broke down into tears, broken by how his wife could show him so much love every time when he expects a fight. he gave his life to christ in the end.
How can we love unloveable people, we have to:
1. Be born of God and know him, 1 John 4:8, allow Christ to reign in our hearts, and minds completely. be born again and read his word and pray, then you will see that God is love.
2. we are to remind ourselves that we are not made in any image but in the image of God, we are gods on this earth, we have the mind of Christ. just as he is on this earth so are we. if God can love us while we are yet sinner, so we can love people while they wrong us.
3. He has given us his spirit, if the spirit of a man is the man then the real content of the man is his spirit. we have love resident inside of us, all we need do is to exhibit, express, display the love inside.1 john 4:13-17.
4. let the love of God dwell in our heart richly, think it, believe it and act it.
5. finally, perfect love cast out all fear, if fear is the negative side to faith , then have faith that you can love all regardless.
lLove is the greatest of all, give love and give life.
