when the mountains depart

Isaiah 54:10 'For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the convenant of peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee"

We have people who live in mountain caves, and historically, the Ethiopians were the only African country that was not colonised because of their high
defensive mountains; a mountain can be a shield, shelter, safety, security,  obstacle or tribulations. Mountains are different from hill due to their size and steepness, so if a mountain or hill depart from us, it means that we are exposed and open to different tribulations, attacks and obstacles, which might be small or big, of great effect or a minor attack with no security. And God is saying it doesn't matter the situation, he would not depart or leave us to be on our own.

He said he would never leave us nor forsake us and in the same line he said 'his kindness" would not leave us. The presence of a friend in the face of a challenge, tribulation or a loss, is such a soothing relief, it might not change anything but it gives the impression that one is not alone, but God's presence changes everything, when God is with us, we would not only have the impression that we are not alone, we would also be assured that he would show us his kindness and give us peace through it all.

All we have to do is to embrace the help of God, his shield, kindness, peace and companionship.
