Counting only what counts in 2014

This morning I woke up with a large heart, filled with joy in my spirit; what a great privilege to be alive this last day of 2014 with all the daily news of death toll ranging from bombing, crashes of all kinds, kidnapping, diseases (Ebola and cancer) and many other causes we can not imagine but if God has decided that I would see this day, then it is the day he has made and I would rejoice and be glad.

Many of us or our close friends have lost someone closed to them or something very important but he has told us to count our blessings instead of our losses, then we would see that the Lord is a good God. He is the reason, we haven't lost everything.

I have decided to count only what counts and it is only my blessing that count, I would be thanking God for peace, love, joy, people he brought to my life, favor, all the ideas he gave me; whether executed or not executed, for his grace and ceaseless mercies, and all that he has done for me and my family. I hope we will join me in giving God praise for our blessings and he would make us whole in the new year, like the Leper who came back (Luke 17: 11).
