Recessional Recital

At the end of most services, when we share the grace and the goodness, we tend to recite them without really praying the words, believing or meditating  on the words. Most of us are always in a hurry to leave the 'presence'(church), so the recital is done super fast because the earlier we finish recitation, the earlier we would leave church but there is actually more to the recessional recital.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.(Psalm 23:6)

From the first word of the verse, we see that the word 'surely' means ' certainly' or ' without any doubt', So certainly the goodness of God; every good thing including God's love and his mercy would not leave us but they will follow us all the days of our lives.

So we have nothing to fear for our God is for us and he will stay with us showing us with his goodness and love and mercy. All we need to do, is to stay in his presence, we will have to enjoy the presence of God all the days of our lives.
